What is hafilat recharge and how does it work on your platform?+

Hafilat recharge refers to loading credit onto your Hafilat smart card, which is the official prepaid transport card for Abu Dhabi's public bus network. On our platform, the process is entirely online: you enter your card number, select a top-up amount in AED, complete a secure payment, and the balance is pushed directly to the Hafilat card system via a live API connection. The credit is visible on your card within seconds.

How do I complete a hafilat recharge online without visiting a service centre?+

Our platform enables a full hafilat recharge online experience from any device — phone, tablet, or desktop. No app download and no account registration are required for a one-time top-up. Visit our recharge page, enter your 16-digit Hafilat card number, choose an amount, and pay. The entire hafilat recharge online process typically takes under 60 seconds from start to finish.

How quickly does the credit appear after a hafilat recharge?+

In the vast majority of cases, a hafilat recharge is reflected on the card within 10 to 30 seconds of payment confirmation. Our system sends the credit instruction to the Hafilat card authority's API immediately upon payment clearance. In rare cases of network congestion on the authority's end, allow up to 5 minutes. If credit has not appeared after 10 minutes, please contact us with your transaction reference.

Can I do a hafilat recharge online for someone else's card?+

Yes. You can top up any valid Hafilat card, not just your own. This is useful for parents topping up cards for their children, or employers managing employee transit accounts. Simply enter the recipient's card number during checkout. The credit goes directly to that card, and you receive the payment receipt by email.

What payment methods are accepted for hafilat recharge?+

We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, including those issued by UAE banks such as FAB, ADCB, Emirates NBD, RAKBANK, and others. All transactions are processed in UAE Dirham (AED) through our PCI-DSS certified payment gateway. Card data is tokenised and never stored on our systems.

What happens if my payment is charged but the hafilat recharge does not go through?+

Failed top-ups are flagged automatically by our monitoring system. If your card was charged but the hafilat recharge was not delivered, our team investigates immediately. If the credit cannot be resent, a full refund is processed within 3 to 5 working days to the original payment method. You will receive email updates at each stage. To expedite resolution, email info@royalstonedecor.com with your transaction reference number.

Are there any fees added on top of the hafilat recharge amount?+

No. The amount you select is exactly what is added to your Hafilat card. We do not add service fees for standard hafilat recharge online transactions. If your bank applies a foreign transaction fee, that is determined by your card issuer and is outside our control. We recommend using a UAE-issued card for zero-fee processing.

Can corporations use your platform for bulk hafilat recharge?+

Yes. Our corporate portal supports batch hafilat recharge for multiple cards in a single operation. Upload a spreadsheet of card numbers and amounts, review the total, and confirm. All cards receive their credit simultaneously. Corporate accounts also include scheduled recurring top-ups, consolidated invoices, and a dedicated account manager. Is the hafilat recharge online service available 24 hours a day?+

Yes. Our platform runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including UAE public holidays. If you experience any issue outside of business hours, our automated systems log it for priority resolution.
